Setting up Safer Internet Day in PNG

The National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) and the PNG Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) are participating in the Safer Internet Day Campaign 2023 in an effort to create a safer online environment.

In order to address these internet-related issues, they encourage everyone in the nation to join the movement, participate, and make the internet the potential to bring people together for better usage of the internet, NICTA, DICT, and the Safer Internet Day Committee partnered with various NGOs in the country.

The time has been chosen for Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Every year in February, people all throughout the world observe SID. A safer and better online where everyone is empowered to use technology responsibly, politely, critically, and creatively. This is what the Global Safer Internet Day Campaign seeks to build.

The SID Campaign 2023 in PNG will address the current issues that have been discussed on our social media platform. It will also give PNG users the opportunity to take control of the campaign, contribute to solving these problems, and ensure the implementation of a new normal that includes a better, more equitable society.
