Dr. Hilda Heine To Run As Pro-Chancellor and Chair of Council From Next Year

TechInPacific – The former president Dr. Hilda Heine will again run a 3-year term as a Pro-Chancellor and the Chair of Councils of The University of the South Pacific from 1st January of 2022 to 31st December of 2024.

One of Dr. Hilda’s previous roles was as the 26th chancellor serving in the university from 1 July 2019 to 12 January 2020.

As a public figure, Dr. Hilda has been an advocate of women’s rights, having founded the Women United Together Marshall Islands (WUTMI). She has also received accolades and honorary achievements and is an active member of the East-West Center, representing the Pacific Islands in Honolulu.
