Samoa COVID-19 Vaccines Top 24,000

TechInPacific – The latest data from the Ministry of Health showed 24,048 so far, has had a full dosage of COVID-19 vaccinations of the Astra Zeneca batch.

According to the data, 12,611 are males and 11,437 are females, with a total of 64,203 have received the first dose of the vaccine.

Samoa recently joined in the global vaccine roll-out is supported by Australia to deliver up to 15 million vaccines to the Pacific and Timor Leste until mid-2022.

Emily Luck, the Australian High Commissioner to Australia, shared Samoa’s decision to be involved in the vaccine roll-out is a multilateral initiative aimed at achieving equitable access to the vaccines.
