TechInPacific – All sea voyage has been temporarily suspended after a marine warning issued by the Vanuatu Meteorological Services.

The Office of the Maritime Regulator (OMR) has stopped ship owners, agents, masters, and skippers of banana boats from accessing all ports in the country.

The warning implied 3.5 to 4 meters of sea waves across all coastal waters, with moderate to heavy swells, low visibility, and more shower rains and thunders.

It’s not clear yet when the suspension will be uplifted, but for now, the safety of both crews and passengers is the priority.

Contact Vanuatu Meteorological Services (24686) or OMR (114, 35445, 7747434, 7798948) to keep updated with the latest warning status.
