TechInPacific – A new partnership sealed between Steamships Trading Company and Emstret Space to provide subsidized transport and logistics.

The deal will give SMEs under Emstret’s Shopsmart online market to have a chance of making their stuff available across PNG.

“E-commerce is an exciting new initiative for SMEs in PNG, providing a much larger marketplace. However, it also presents a much larger logistics challenge to move goods between sellers and buyers. This one area where Steamships can offer support,” Business Development Manager at Steamships Alfred Weston, said.

“The aim of Emstret Space is to create an inclusive ecosystem for entrepreneurs, allowing them to connect, collaborate, and grow,” Vani Nades, Emstret founder and director said.

“The future is promising because of this partnership with Steamships Trading company, our vendors will be at ease knowing that their products will reach its destination through Steamships extensive logistics network.”
