Fiji’s Plastic For Cash Machine

TechInPacific – Fiji has become the first in the Pacific Islands to receive Reverse Funding Machine (RVM) as a result of FijiCare Insurance Limited and JANZ Technologies collaboration.

Both received grant last year from the UNCDF’s Pacific Financial Inclusion Program which supported them in producing the RVMs, which will encourage Fijians to recycle plastic products in return for money rewards.

“It will be the first RVM on any Pacific Island thanks to the grant we won last year from UNCDF’s Pacific Financial Inclusion Program with FijiCare,” ,” Janz Technologies CEO Joey Azman said.

“In collaboration with FijiCare, we will be giving free micro healthcare insurance to Fijians who recycle plastic bottles.”

A total of 5 RVM has been shipped to the country.
