Accounting is changing because of technology: FICA

The President of the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants wants members to look into the latest accounting trends, new tools, and best practices.

Tarlochan Singh says that new technologies like artificial intelligence and data analytics require accountants and other related industries to adapt, learn new skills, and have an attitude of always learning.

Digitalization has been discussed in the last ten years, but it hasn’t taken off as much as it could. This forum will probably help us figure out how to use robotics or artificial intelligence (AI) to fill the gap.

Singh says this will be one of the most important things discussed at the FICA Congress on June 23rd and 24th at the Shangri-La Fijian Resort and Spa on Yanuca Island in Sigatoka.
